Talk Talk - RENEE - 1984 - 382 sec
Album : It's my life Piste : 3 Année : 02.1984 Well baby how the weeks fade Baby was the best part of your youth a sensation Yeah, that's a change I never thought I'd end up fooling you D'you hear what they say ? All these people living up in our street, well they say Out of touch, she lives in faded dreams Renée Baby how the weeks fade Baby how the streets change And maybe when the cheat plays Maybe when the ace falls from his suit And he tells you Yeah, that's the game I didn't want to lose it on the two You're playing his way, but the prize that you've been losing in youth And I say Throw the ace, and face up to the truth Renée Baby how the weeks fade Baby how the streets change But baby as the weeks fade, and we've seen quite a few I don't know who's fooling you, I'm fooling you *** Paroles & Musique : Mark HOLLIS

Renee and Renato - Save Your Love (Christmas 1982) - 176 sec
Renee and Renato sing 'Save Your Love' - this memorable Italian love song was a Christmas #1 hit in the UK charts in 1982. Renato also famously sang 'Just One Cornetto' in the Wall's Ice Cream ad of the 80s. This footage has been recovered from a 1982 off-air Betamax tape. There is more information and photos of Renee and Renato on this website: http://www.metalmickey.com/ ....in which Johnny Edward, aka Metal Mickey, (the video's producer, and co-writer of the song) reveals why Renee didn't appear in this video, and asks if anyone can identify the actress who did. Many thanks to Johnny Edward, who has also contributed to the comments for this video. Some of you may remember Johnny as DJ John Edward on the legendary 1960s offshore radio station Big L, Radio London. There are more details on Johnny's long and varied career in music, radio, and TV, on the above website.

As always, BET can be counted on to deliver some of television's most memorable moments, including special tributes to the late James Brown and Gerald Levert as well as a not-to-be-missed opening act. "We've built a brand by having the most dazzling opening performances in all Awards shows," said Stephen Hill, BET AWARDS '07 executive producer and BET EVP of Music Programming and Talent. Others we sneak on ya, like 2005's reunion performance from The Fugees. We're choosing 'sneak attack' this year, but trust me: you don't want to get to your TV at 8:02 p.m. ..... for real." Additionally, beloved and accomplished actor, Academy Award nominee Don Cheadle will receive the BET Humanitarian Award for his efforts in Darfur and fundraising for the African AIDS epidemic.
