Description: This movie is a music video set to the song "Monsters" by Matchbook Romance. It has the "Platoon" styling of video that many of you have been wanting for a long time mixed with a semi-apparent, semi-hidden meaning.
This movie took about 4-5 days to complete, however, I didn't release it due to the fact that I was working on our new logo (featured in the movie).
Do not expect the world out of this movie... it came out great but we know how you guys keep raising the bar every time we make a movie lol... I do believe it turned out great being that we didn't spend weeks on it like we did with movies like Frequency.
*Update* Since many people asked, I wanted to mention that the hidden meaning behind this video is... In war, we are all the monsters.
Many viewers may watch this movie and feel that the Elite is the bad guy or vice versa, but at the end things switch up a little as it turned out to be a recon attack. In situations like this in life, it's really up to the viewer to decide who is the true monster. This ties in to real world situations like the war in Iraq, are we the monsters or are they?

This was the first of the two "live" videos that were planned. I got the idea from watching performances of David Bowie on the BBC (I think the sessions were from '72). I liked how he played live, slightly different versions of the songs. I figured it would be fun to do something similar, only in more interesting settings than just a stage. So we filmed and recorded the song at the same time, and any extra tracking (clapping, tambourine, accordion) was done the same way. So it's kinda like live multi-tracking.
This particular session took over 13 hours. We filmed this about three days after I nearly broke my leg filming for another one of the videos, and I still couldn't put any weight on that foot. So whenever we had technical difficulties (which was often), I had to hobble around all the lamps to set things straight again. Add to that, we hadn't really practiced the song together before that day, and I, as always, had trouble remembering my lyrics. It was exhausting and frustrating, and I think I set the healing of my ankle back a good week or two, but we were happy with how it came out in the end.

*READ FIRST PLZ:* JJ Abrams said himself that the monster was "a baby", which must mean that there would be a mother/father. And when you do get to see the monster both times, they look completely different. Here's some of the differences, sorry for the poor pics.
Also I forgot to mention, the shapes of the heads of both monsters, to me look alot different. The black one looks like it has like a flat alien-like shaped face. You know the Alien flms, looks like that to me but not as far out. Like flatter. But the one in the street just looks angrier and, yes the face looks flat but the face shape to me still looks different but you judge :) I just made this vid for more Cloverfield evidence.
