The 3,150 m long Lefortovo Tunnel in Russia is the longest 'in-city' tunnel in all of Europe. There is a river running over it and water leaks at some points. When the temperature reaches minus 38 degrees like it did last winter, the road freezes and the result is the attached video taken during a single day with the tunnel camera. Congratulations to the driver of the dual bus!!
P.S. The music is called Avalon and the artist is Juliet. I actually doubt this footage is from one day, but the above note is word for word the original description I got.

The pathogenesis of thoracic outlet syndrome can be linked with the anatomy of the anterior scalene muscle. The anterior scalene muscle starts from the transverse processes of C3-C6, slanting downward and forward, and inserts into the first rib. When it contracts, the head bends to the same side and forward.
The causes of anterior scalene muscle syndrome are:
1. Cervical spondylosis -- Spinal nerves C3-C8 provide motor innervation to the anterior scalene muscle. Their irritation or compression evokes increased tension in the anterior scalene muscle.
2. Chronic overload and muscular strain -- Chronic physical overload of the anterior scalene muscle or its strain also produce the clinical picture of anterior scalene muscle syndrome. Because the anterior scalene muscle participates in inspiration, patients with bronchial asthma frequently have anterior scalene muscle syndrome.
3. Visceral pathology -- The heart and lungs are innervated by the same segments of the spinal cord as the anterior scalene muscle. Thus, chronic cardiac and pulmonary disorders evoke reflex zones in the anterior scalene muscle and are responsible for anterior scalene muscle syndrome. Radiating pain to the left arm caused by this syndrome can also mimic heart pathology.
The brachial plexus is located between the anterior scalene and middle scalene muscles. If the tonus of the anterior scalene muscle is increased, the brachial plexus is found in the sphincter between these two muscles. As a result, the brachial plexus becomes chronically irritated and produces a rich neurological picture. The spinal nerves of C7-C8 are involved to the greatest degree (C6-C7 and C7-T1 segments of spine.)
Anterior scalene muscle syndrome causes an abundance of circulatory problems. The subclavian artery and vein pass between the anterior scalene muscle and the first rib. An over-tensed muscle can compress the artery and vein, or evoke their vasospasm by irritation of the brachial plexus. Compression of the subclavian artery produces symptoms of insufficient blood supply to the upper limb; compression of the subclavian vein produces symptoms of insufficient blood drainage (edema). Additionally, the anterior scalene muscle can compress the vertebral artery or evoke vasospasm by irritating its sympathetic plexus.

Buses operating in dedicated transit tunnels are very rare. One city where this used to be done was Seattle, Washington State, USA.
Originally opening in September 1990, and wholly located within the city's 'free travel' zone the 1 & 1/3rd mile (2.1km) tunnels were served by a fleet of Italian Breda duobuses, with some services providing a direct link to the city's airport.
It featured 5 stations which opened on Mondays - Saturdays only. At the time of construction rail tracks were also installed for a future light rail service. Unfortunately despite this commendable forward thinking it was subsequently decided that part of the light rail line will follow a different alignment than the existing tunnels, so on 24th September 2005 the bus subway was closed for two year period of rebuilding.
Most of the duobuses were actually withdrawn well in advance of the closure (with many being converted to pure trolleybuses for use on surface routes) and - amazingly - replaced with diseasal powered buses. (diseasal = disease diesel)
In April 2005 local users were reporting on Internet discussion groups that the tunnels were often somewhat smelly from (what thinking people know to be) the poisonous diesel engine exhaust fumes.
Whilst it is true that the buses are diesel electric hybrids they still needed to use the fossil fuel traction package whilst underground, although this was in a special 'hush' mode which means that the only operate between stations and at much reduced power.
Apparently the choice of fossil fuel buses was influenced by the transport operators' belief that it is not possible to mix overhead wire powered light rail and electric trolleybuses / duo-buses in an underground tunnel system - even though Essen proved otherwise!
In Seattle the buses were driver steered, it might be assumed that for safety's sake "some" sort of guidance system would have been needed - if only to reduce the chance of a bus accidentally hitting the tunnel wall - especially within the portion of the bus subway which featured narrow London Underground 'tube-like' tunnels (as seen here), but this was not the situation.
This video compilation was filmed in May 1993. The sequences only follow a cursory order and because of faulty camcorder lens optics (which was only discovered once back home) the images are not as sharp as they should have been. Which is a shame.
